Alessandro Gualtieri has been General Manager of the So.Ges “Place of Charme” hotel group in Florence since 2022.
From 2018 to 2021 he was General Manager of the Acaya Golf Resort & SPA (Lecce). Up until 2017 he directed the hotel sector of Villa Medicea La Ferdinanda in Artimino (Prato).
He personally contributed to the recognition of the Villa as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. He coordinated the organization of important events, including the “G25” in 2004, the NASA Solar Orbiter conference in 2015. And he has also received prestigious awards such as the “Best Tuscan Farm”, the “Best Tuscan countryside Hotel”, and the “Special Award for the Youngest General Manager in Hotellerie” in 1991.
In 2016-17 he attended the Executive Hotel Management course at “Luiss Guido Carli Business School” in Rome and in 2008 that of “Revenue Management” of Dr. Franco Grasso.
He holds lectures and seminars within the Master’s degree course in “Economics and Management of Tourism” at the University of Florence as well as at the Technical Institutes of Tourism and the Tourist Studies Center. He provides tourist consultancy services for public and private facilities. Since July 2018 he has been a member of the BTO Advisory Board.
