The attention to the issue of privacy by professionals in the tourism sector is growing, due to the adaptation of Google analytics to version 4, and due to all the consequences of the Schrems judgments on the transfer of personal data of European citizens to the United States and on their treatment which might be “non-compliant”. Consequences that are to date unresolved.
What is the position of the privacy authority today? Should we probably be looking for European alternatives to Google Analytics or are there protection activities that can already be undertaken at the level of small-medium businesses?
We will be talking about this with Guido Scorza, Member of the Italian Data Protection Authority.
