DATAtourisme: the experience of the national platform for tourism Open Data in France

DATAtourisme is the national platform for public tourism data in open data, entrusted to ADN Tourisme, the National Federation of French Tourist Offices. The platform aggregates more than 400,000 events and points of interest listed throughout the territory.

Over 15 million points of interest (POI) are downloaded every month by its re-users (start-ups and other digital solution developers); the national platform feeds numerous applications and websites, from the official portal France.fr to the daily press (Le Télégramme) and dozens of useful applications for tourists.

A virtuous and potential example that has contributed to creating a single standard which makes it possible to share tourism data on a European scale.

We will be talking about it with Pascale Vinot, in charge of the DATAtourisme project.
