Why talk about the metaverse? And, in particular, why exactly regarding HoReCa?
The answer to the first question is as simple as it is brutal: Talking about the metaverse today means coming face-to-face with a world that in 2021 generated a turnover of 54 billion dollars2, double that achieved by the global music sector; therefore, the phenomenon deserves our attention.
Equally simple, albeit less violent, is the answer to the second question: One must address the topic of the metaverse in HoReCa because it exists; the attribute of existence is in itself a sufficient element to start a path of analysis of meanings and possible future implications.
