The sustainable development goals of the 2030 Agenda intend to implement sustainability in all economic sectors.
These also include the industry of major events, which can be a vehicle for inclusiveness and sustainability.
Often, in fact, the knowledge of the participants by the local community can radically change their vision, not only during the demonstrations, veering from hostility to inclusiveness. This change then remains rooted in everyday life, going beyond the simple pop-up event.
In this panel we will find out about examples of events that have been engines of change in social behavior in destinations, thanks to the sharing of time and spaces by the local community and visitors.
We will see how the event acquires a different role, no longer exclusively economic and touristic, but above all social and educational as the host community internalizes its values and includes them in its reality.
In this context, how can new technologies accelerate and consolidate these processes?
