Agronomist, Sicilian. After some experience in the world of scientific research (the National Research Council and the University of Catania) she started her freelance profession with private companies in the fruit and vegetable sector and then moved on to the world of Sicilian citrus-fruit growing.

Numerous technical tasks at companies within the fruit and vegetable supply chain and experience gained in public relations contexts.

She is an expert in cooperation and territorial marketing, she has held positions for sector associations such as CIA (Italian Farmers’ Federation), UIAPOA (National Union of Fruit and Vegetable and Citrus Fruit Producers) and has been regional president of Fedagri Sicilia.

Since 2008 she has been president of the Citrus Production District of Sicily, an organization recognized by the Region that brings together representatives from the categories of producers, traders, processors, the Consortia for the Protection of PGI and PDO citrus production. For the District she conceived of and coordinated various projects with the Italian Ministry of Agriculture and the Agricultural Department of the Region of Sicily.

In partnership with The Coca-Cola Foundation, she has been promoting projects for ethical and sustainable agriculture for years. She currently coordinates, as a partner, the TRICK (Horizon 2020) project on blockchain in the circular economy. She is a member of the National Council of Food Districts.
