Federico Geremei

Travel writer, Data analyst

Travel journalist, published author and lecturer, he journeys through the world’s most enthralling sites, documenting complex contexts and unearthing the lives of people in depth and detail.

Prior to his last role as editor-in-chief of the Italian edition of Lonely Planet magazine, he has occupied a variety of positions across multiple platforms (print, broadcast, digital): managing editor (Marcopolo TV), head of content (X2Tv, turismo.it), author (Lonely Planet, Polaris), director (RAI) and producer (GFOI).

A deep-rooted background in mathematics and social sciences, combined with a direct understanding of the publishing industry, constantly inspires his “knowledge first” approach.

Driven by a solid experience in data analytics and the tourism sector’s dynamics, his outlook delivers original stories with accurate, cliché-free insights.

Besides contributing to several influential media outlets – Fortune, GEDI Group (among others) – he currently serves as travel consultant for private and public entities looking to enhance brand development through the integration of research and content creation.
