Giovanni Boccia Artieri is full professor of Sociology of communication and digital media at “Carlo Bo” University of Urbino where he is the Director of the Department of Communication Sciences, Humanities and International Studies and Coordinator of the Ph.D. course in Humanities.
He directs the LaRiCA Center (Research Laboratory on Advanced Communication). He deals with mediation processes, with a focus on digitization and civic and political participatory cultures.
